UK ESTABLISHED PEST CONTROL & REMEDIAL SUPPLIER SINCE 2002. Birdgo 30m Pro Solar Panel Bird Proofing Mesh & Clip Kit for Pigeon Control. Birdgo Professional Solar Panel Mesh Clips for Weld Mesh Pigeon Bird Proofing.
Birdgo Black PVC Coated Mesh & Clip Kit for Solar Panel Pigeon Bird Control. Birdgo Black PVC Solar Mesh Installation Kit. Solar mesh kit to stop pest birds nesting under panels.
This kit includes the following products. 30m x 0.2m black PVC coated solar mesh. 60 x solar attachment clips. Benefits of this kit include. For coastal & open environments. Mesh coated with PVC for additional durability. Stops sparrows, starlings & pigeons. Solar mesh has been designed around the outer perimeter of installed solar panel systems to act as a physical barrier to prevent pest birds, including pigeons, starlings and sparrows, from gaining access to the underside of solar systems. The black PVC allows the system to blend into the shadows of the solar panel system and hence is a recommended option for installers looking for a low-profile but effective prevention and control system.
The size of the mesh holes (12.5mm x 12.5mm) will prevent most birds from gaining access. Every roll has a width of 0.2m and a length of 15m with a wire thickness of 18 gauge. Kit contents cover an average infestation however additional clips or mesh may be required depending on the complexity of the system being installed. Additional products are available for sale if required.
Before undertaking any proofing works it is important that the area is cleared to remove guano and bird nesting materials. This lowers the pressure of the site and it is more likely that the target bird will move onto another location. We recommend treating any waste, before and after removal, with a suitable disinfectant such as our Birdgo cleaner and sanitiser spray. Bird waste is associated with a high number of bacterial and spore-born diseases including Ornithosis, Chlamydia, E-coli & Salmonella.
All bird species including pigeons are protected by law in the UK. Removal of nesting materials or eggs may be a breach of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.Free general licences are available from Natural England for users to undertake works subject to meeting their terms and conditions. If in doubt seek professional advice/help from a solar panel installer or electrician.
Whilst the installation of solar mesh is considered straight forward and the installer requires no previous experience we do recommend that instructions included within the kit are read and followed. The following information provides the user with an initial summary of the process. Using a 5 foot long 2x4 as a guide, bend up two to three squares of the mesh to about a 45° angle.
This helps to lock the solar mesh snugly to the roof. Place clips every 18 inches. Slide the clip onto the edge of the panel support bracket. Slide as far outward as possible so the clip is all the way on the lip of the panel. Set the wire mesh screen in place.
Make sure the fastener rod comes through the screen at an upward angle as to keep downward pressure on the screen, pushing it towards the roof. Slide the speed washer onto the shaft of the clip assembly until snug. Make adjustments to the screen as necessary.Tighten speed washer to the panel edge. Include a 3 overlap of the mesh when installing the next section. Cut off any excess mesh screen sticking over the top edge of the solar panel array.
Cut of the clip assembly rod flush with the exterior of the speed washer. Obstructions such as mounting brackets or cabling should be carefully cut around, ensuring not to leave any gaps in excess of 19mm that would allow access by pests. On each corner of the solar array cut the adjoining perpendicular mesh channels at opposite angles of 45° and abut together to form chamfered corners, secure using the cable ties provided. Using the wire cutters provided, neatly trim off the excess mesh flush with the top edge of the solar panel frame. Then trim off the tails from the mesh clips to give a neat finish. Fort Products Limited is an established pest control and remedial retailer specialising in amateur and professional kits designed to control a wide range of issues from rodent infestations to damp proofing. Our background started in 1996 by Craig who trained as a pest controller dealing with a wide range of infestations in numerous, and sometimes, complicated environments.
Whilst the principle of pest control can be straight forward in reality every treatment can be unique and challenging, and certainly a job that evolves with experience. In 2014 we decided to concentrate wholeheartedly on the supply side of the business, which included investing in products and kits that would be suitable for customers both from an amateur and professional perspective. Our focus going forward is to concentrate on supplying products manufactured in the UK using products with an original British source or from a recycled product. An example would be our rodenticide baits that are sourced from cereals grown in the UK or our Roshield Baiter box that is produced from recycled plastics obtained from car dashboards and bumpers.
